Mazgaon SRA Building Slab Collapse: One Dead, Several Injured
A tragic incident took place in Mumbai’s Mazgaon area after a slab collapsed inside an SRA building, leaving one person dead and several others injured. The sudden collapse created panic among residents and workers in the area, as locals and labourers immediately rushed to rescue those trapped under the debris. The injured victims were shifted to Sir JJ Hospital for treatment, where some are reported to be in serious condition. Emergency teams and local residents carried out rescue efforts before authorities arrived at the spot.
Soon after the incident, Byculla Police reached the accident site and started an investigation to determine the exact cause of the slab collapse. Officials are also checking whether negligence or structural weakness played a role in the tragedy.
Residents have once again raised concerns over the safety condition of old and under-construction SRA buildings in Mumbai.
