Sidhu Moose Wala ke Parents Ka SSP Office ke Bahar Dharna

Mansa (Punjab): The parents of late Punjabi singer-rapper Sidhu Moose Wala held a prolonged sit-in protest outside the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office in Mansa district on Wednesday, demanding justice and swift action on a six-month-old complaint they filed regarding alleged financial irregularities and unpaid earnings from their son’s music and associated companies.
Balkaur Singh and his wife Charan Kaur, accompanied by their young toddler, sat on the floor outside the SSP office for hours, accusing the local police of inaction and negligence in registering a First Information Report (FIR) on their complaint first submitted to the Director General of Police in June 2025.
According to the couple, the complaint names a music producer and others connected with Moose Wala’s companies for failure to share financial records and royalty payments owed to the family. They allege that despite providing detailed evidence, the investigation has made little progress and that police have not taken definitive steps to act on the case.
“We are being deprived of the income generated by our son’s work,” said Balkaur Singh, alleging that the inquiry file has remained unopened on the SSP’s desk for days without any action. Charan Kaur highlighted the family’s ongoing struggle to obtain financial transparency and questioned why authorities have not yet registered the FIR they seek.
The protest drew attention to broader frustrations with police response times, and the family even criticized local governance, raising concerns about perceived political pressure influencing the investigation.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Harjit Singh (Bathinda Range) eventually met the couple during the protest, reassuring them that the matter was being taken seriously and that further action would follow. However, Moose Wala’s parents reiterated that they would continue their agitation until an FIR is registered and justice is served.
The protest underscores the deep emotional and legal battle the family continues to fight years after the singer’s tragic death, as they seek accountability not only in his murder case but also in matters involving his professional legacy and earnings.
