Seven Killed in Chemical Factory Fire in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi, Two Trapped Inside
Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) — A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Bhiwadi, resulting in the death of seven people, while two workers are feared trapped inside, officials confirmed.
The blaze reportedly erupted inside the industrial unit located in the RIICO industrial area, triggering panic among workers and nearby establishments. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the premises as fire tenders rushed to the spot to control the flames.
According to local authorities, rescue operations were launched immediately. Several workers were evacuated, and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials stated that the intensity of the fire made rescue efforts challenging.
Preliminary reports suggest that highly combustible chemical materials stored inside the factory may have contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. However, the exact cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
District administration officials have ordered a detailed investigation into the incident and directed safety audits of nearby industrial units. Additional emergency teams remain at the site to search for the two individuals believed to be trapped.
The tragedy has once again raised concerns over industrial safety standards in the region’s manufacturing hubs.
Further updates are awaited as rescue and investigation efforts continue.
