20 Shops Destroyed After High-Tension Wire Falls in Bachupally
Reported by Anam Siddiqui

A major fire broke out in Bachupally after a high-tension electricity wire reportedly snapped and fell near a row of shops, leading to a devastating blaze that destroyed around 20 commercial establishments.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the high-voltage power line fell onto structures in a busy market area, sparking a fire that quickly spread across nearby shops. The flames intensified within minutes, causing heavy damage before emergency teams could bring the situation under control.

Firefighters from Telangana Fire Services rushed to the spot and launched a large-scale operation to contain the blaze. Multiple fire tenders were deployed, and after several hours of effort, the fire was finally brought under control.

Local shopkeepers said that most of the affected stores were small businesses, including grocery shops, clothing outlets, and general stores. Many traders reported losing goods worth lakhs of rupees as the fire reduced their shops to ashes.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, though the financial losses are believed to be significant. Authorities have begun assessing the damage and investigating the exact cause of the incident.

Officials have also urged electricity authorities to inspect power infrastructure regularly to prevent such dangerous accidents in the future. đźš’
