Remembering Baba Saheb Ambedkar on 6 December: Nation Pays Tribute to the Architect of the Constitution

6 December marks Mahaparinirvan Diwas, the death anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar — the visionary leader, social reformer, and principal architect of the Indian Constitution. Across the country, millions paid heartfelt tribute to Baba Saheb, remembering his unparalleled contributions to equality, justice, and human rights.

From Rajgruha in Mumbai to Chaitya Bhoomi in Dadar, large crowds gathered since early morning, offering flowers, prayers, and expressing gratitude for Ambedkar’s lifelong fight against discrimination and caste oppression. Special programs, seminars, and awareness drives were held by social organizations and educational institutions to reflect on his ideas of social harmony and empowerment.

Leaders from various political parties shared tributes on social media, acknowledging that Ambedkar’s vision continues to guide modern India. Many highlighted his emphasis on education, constitutional rights, and the fight for dignity for marginalized communities.

As the nation remembers Baba Saheb today, his message of equality and constitutional morality remains more relevant than ever.
